And LLBean stands behind everything they sell. If the thing gets run over by a plane and the stitching pulls, they would probably replace it. The CS is amazing. I had a pair of hiking boots wear out really quickly and they were more than happy to replace them.

Adventure Duffle: Duffles and Gear Bags at L.L.Bean

I'd recommend a large bag, the xl is too big for some airlines.
Definitely get the large size, we have the xl and it's too big even for the airlines that will still let you have two checked bags per person... (grin)

We grabbed a couple wheeled duffels from meijers to use for our trip and had no trouble fitting this into 2 bags. (we did come very close to the 50 lb limit)

2 Zeagle Escape BCDS
2 sets of 7mil Bare Arctic wetsuits (both wetsuit and core warmer with hood)
2 sets of maris aveni fins
save a dive kit with extra tools.
Lights, and all the other random bits and pieces.

During our trip we had things split into separate bags so we had all our necessary gear (excepting tank and weights) in one rolling duffle bag each.

(There was also room for our regulators and computers but we carried those on)

These are the bags we used. (Though we paid much less for them at meijers ($35 actually))

I use a Duffel bag from a Military surplus store. $20.00 Very durable and it holds two full sets of gear with room to spare. You can get either top load or side zipper. I have the side zipper. With the 2 full sets of gear Fins, masks, snorkels, BCD's (Scubapro Knighthawks with 6 lbs total spread between the trim pockets - OOPS), and 2 diveskins (would have held 2 3mm wetsuits no problem) it came in at 44 lbs. 2 Regs and computers were in carry-on. Then I just stacked it on my wheeled suitcase (for our clothes) to get it through the airport.

Here in Singapore, military service is compulsory for all males and we are issued some standard items, the duffel bag with wheel is one of them. I had the chance to go back and buy one using free credits and converted it into a dive bag!
