It was a time before insurance liabilities, lawsuits or beauracratic regulation of the "sport". Guerrilla divers didn't need "Buoyancy Compensator Vests". In fact, "Anyone who needs a BC deserves to drown" was a popular adage. Exploration and the Hunt came first, excitement and fun followed. I have a great bag made by akona it is a mesh backback and has a dry compartment as well for towels or clothes it was huge but very easy to carry on back. I am able to fit all my gear in one of these. I honestly paid 45 for it but it is great. I also keep a dunk cooler in the car so when I am done diving I can trough my gear in there to soak on the way home.
