Worried about Dacor BC I just bought

So I just bought the Dacor Talon BC from ST for my hubby. He really likes it, but we're a little concerned about its size and weight (for packing purposes). And after reading a bit on the forum, I'm concerned about Dacor being out of business and being able to get the BC serviced.

I'm wondering if the RipTide Zone BC would be better for him. I know its rear inflate, and he's been happy using jacket style...

Any thoughts?

Dacor is not out of business. They are very much in business, and are going to be expanding their line very soon. People get that story all confused... about 10 years ago they looked like they were going out, and Mares bought them. (actually Head Sports that also makes the tennis racquet's, skis, etc.)

The only service problems are with Pre-Mares products as the old Dacor sold off all the machinery and tooling to make the parts for those items... but anything bought that was made since the Mares/Head Sports purchase of Dacor is no problem.

As far as weight... Really the Rip Tide won't be much if any lighter.... but if you'd rather go with a back inflate - no problem swapping that for you. Just let us know!
