Question Did I buy the correct size for my Zeagle Stiletto BC

I am wondering if I purchased the correct size for my Zeagle Stiletto BC.
I am 6ft. tall, 198 lbs. and have a 36 inch waist.
I bought a large BC with medium shoulder straps because I had to cinch the shoulder straps on the large to the very end to get a proper fit.
I am now wondering if I should have went with a medium vest because when I cinch the waist belt, I only have about 1 inch of belt left on each side.
Zeagle thinks that if I buy a medium BC, the weight pockets will sit too far back on my body. They say that you should wear the largest BC that "still fits".
Does anyone have advice on this issue?

They are dead on there... I wear a stock large cinched to it's tightest - 36 waist and 6' 4". Also, if you ever get into colder water and need to toss on a heavy neoprene or dry suit - there's plenty of room to let it out.

My Ranger is "oversized", i.e., the largest size that still FITS. It's better to have a bit more room for a wetsuit and for SBE (Seasonal Belly Expansion).
