Hollis Advanced Travel System

I understand that Hollis is fairly new on the market, but I can't find any reviews or opinions or even a website for thier gear. Could be me....has anyone seen any reviews on the advanced travel system?

Cheers,
Lorne

Too new, methinks. I haven't seen many reviews, nor do I know many (any?) who have actually laid hands on their stuff.

But you'd think someone somewhere would have bought something and then told us about it....

Hollis website

Hollis Gear

This is their website. I too have not heard anything/reviews about their products. Have also been patiently waiting feedback.

Oops, sorry, missed that part of your request. I have the link, I would have shared.

Part of the problem is they've announced a lot more gear than they've shipped.

This seems to be a common problem, not just with Hollis. I had the same thing with Oxycheq and Dive Rite. My LDS had put in a order last fall to Oxy and only about half the items shipped, the rest were back-ordered and some hadn't even been manufactured yet. I don't have much patience for back-orders, there are too many options available.

I saw some of it at Our World Underwater, but obviously have never dove it... It looked nice. That is about all that I know about it. Looked to be well build and functional.

I agree that if it is on backorder, I can find something else that is not that works just as well... I am not a patient person either, when it comes to getting something that I want...

Hollis is too new. The only review I found is in the Sports Diving magazine in the January 08 issue. They're part of Oceanic so probably their gears will be good.

Look for the Scuba Diving Magazine May '08 Issue - "6 Travel Ready BCs Review" article.

It weighs almost 10 pounds, so I'm not really sure how "travel friendly" it is, but that is really up to the end user!

FYI - the new Zeagle Escape BC is also reviewed in that article...
