A couple of thoughts. DUI sells a back flotation BC which is one size fits all as does Sea Soft. Both are quality products, but carry a hefty price tag, but if you only have to buy one BC to keep him floating during a big growth phase of his life it might be cost effective.
Another thought is a back plate and wing. Deep Sea Supply sells a whole set starting at $399.00 and up. Hope this helps. Pete |

I don't believe that particular Zeagle will grow with him as much as others would, as it's marketed for being a good fit, but not a wide range. Like Docwagner said, SeaSoft Scuba markets their BCs as fitting a wide range of sizes.

I went with a BPW for my daughter. I let her decide between that and other BCD's which she test dove and preferred the BPW. The harness you will be able to adjust as she grows. I used 2" webbing from Pinnacle on a AL backplate with Oxycheq wing, and she loved it.
ST has a good deal on the Oxycheq BP & Wing package for $295. I'm certainly not trying to push the BPW, but maybe the cheapest route for now and still have the ability to grow. Just my $.02, good luck.

I second the BP/W because once your son grows up, you'll have to get a new BC which can cost $$$ so with the backplate and the harness, if your son decides to continue scuba diving then all you need to do is buy the harness or re-adjust it.
