Brigade + backpad =

The perfect BCD, for me anyway...

I installed my new backpad as soon as I got home today, tried the Brigade on, and it was like a totally new BCD. The fit was just so much better!! The length and chest of the large was perfect, but the waste was still just a little loose even fully snugged..Now it's perfect!! Plus the support and comfort on the back is very, very nice.. I can't wait to dive it Saturday, I couldn't have imagined being happier with my Brigade, but now I am..

This got me to thinking, if Larry took a Brigade and added

And this

He could call it a Brigade LTD. and would have the perfect recreational BCD!!
May move more accessories that way, at least we do in the car business when we dress up the showroom model a little bit..

creggur, I know the feeling as I have had one for years. As have said it is liek having a lazy boy on your back.
I am waiting on my discount to get the new bladder for my Ranger then I wil be with you.

Do you use the rear weight pockets? I could see no reason to trim the back.

Haven't put any in there yet, however I've only dived in fresh water springs.. I'm keeping them on to see if I need to distribute the extra lead for salt water...

i tossed 2 lbs in each when i used a AL80, using 22lbs total.....but when i use a hp steel tank, it's really not needed (in fresh water). I was only using 14lbs with the steel (in a 7mm one piece wetsuit), and i think that extra weight tended to put me more vertical.

I'm not sure i'll get much use out of them, i think they are coming off when i go to the tropics.

but anyway, the backpad is nice, and creggur, i believe you can adjust the cummerbund in the grommets.

The backpad was one reason my husband like the Ranger LTD over the regular Ranger. Plus he would have wanted rear weight pockets, so the LTD made perfect sense.

Is that official? Can I call mine the Brigade "LTD" since I ordered it with those options?

And yes, I love it after getting to try it out for the first time today.
