? Mares bc

Was wondering if any have heard of a Mares Frontier Expedition bc and what they would run normally now. I have searched the net and have only come up with new prices around 500 or so. Also I have a set of dacor regs that have no real name on them. How do I go about finding what set they are? Gear was acquired though some horse trading for stuff I no longer used. BC is brand new condition and has to have less than a dozen dives on it if that. Regs look to be in good shape as well. Let me know any info ya'll may have and if needed I can post some pics of the gear. Thanks Jeremy

Post pictures of the gear. You may be out of luck on maintenance on the Dacor regulators by the way. If they're old there isn't an easy supply of parts unless somebody just happens to have old stock, but then you've got to worry about the quality of the rubber in it.

That was a pretty nice little BC in its day. The reason it was discontinued was the velcro weight pockets. It should be usable if you inflate it and get no leaks... but I would tell you that you should not put too much weight in the integrated weight pockets. People would load those up with 8 lbs a side and suddenly - out would drop the lead during a dive.

That got mares to come out with their patented quick release handles that works much better. But if you keep it down to 2 or 3 lbs per side, and make sure you get the velcro attached good - you should be fine.

Street price used would probably be in the $125 - $175 range if you were wondering.... but how much for the couch?

Hope that helps!
