going to hawaii for school, need bc!
hey guys im pretty new to scuba diving, and i dont have any equipment. Im going to byu hawaii in september and i am looking to buy my first set of gear. i would like something comfortable to wear without a wetsuit or a very thin one, that would be good for the type of diving in hawaii. any advice would be much appreciated. any reccomendations for regs or any other equipment would also be very helpful. Thanks!

To start with, get yourself a bundle deal for mask, fin, and snorkel. Give Larry or Joe a ring and they'll work something out for you. The next thing you might want to consider after that would be a shorty or a wetsuit. I don't think you want to throw any money into a BC or regulator yet; rent those till you're slightly more experienced before considering plonking down cash on these big-ticket items.
