Divrite BP with Zeagel Ranger Wing

After seeing the deal talked about in this thread, my thoughts of giving BP/W a try are renewed. Before dropping the $$ on a wing - how easy (or not) would it be for me to use the wing from my Zeagle Ranger with this setup?

Edit: - of course I meant a "Zeagle" ranger - but I can't edit the title!

It can be done but I wouldn't recommend it. The stock Ranger wing is huge and will not have the side clips to make it behave unless you also rig that somehow.

Bite the bullet and buy a BP & Wing appropriate for the diving you will be doing and be done with it. If you want to experience the benefits of a BP/W try one complete not one rigged.

It can be done and it works fine. The side clips are still used on the Zeagle BP&W and the Zeagle backplate comes with a set of clips as standard, same as they are on the BCD's.

I would agree with you 100% except for one small detail, he wants to do it on a DR plate not the Zeagle plate!

Line up the wing on the plate and drill the holes needed to mount/bolt on the ranger wing.
Purchase the wing bolt kit and wing clips from Zeagle.

I'm with DMWiz on this one. Instead of drilling your plate and buying parts from Zeagle to make the Ranger wing work, I'd just get a good wing that will work with a standard plate and be done with it.

Also with Matt and Wiz here. Just get a proper wing. 44# is stupid large (and it's a pretty poor shape) for a singles wing.

What I did was to buy a Zeagle backplate and hog harness, then a Frog Indigo wing and put my Zeagle Ranger for sale. No regrets so far!
