Weight sausage for Back Plate
If I want to add weight to an aluminum back plate and choose to use a weight sausage, should I put the cam bands under the sausage or should I wrapped the bands around the sausage?
To me, it makes sense to put the cam bands under the sausage.... but just because it makes sense doesn't mean it's right..... ![]() |

I saw on one web-site where the user actually melted lead and poured it into the channel to form the channel weight. He dammed each end of the channel with clay. Obviously, the weight was formed between the bolt holes. This way the weight was exactly the weight he wanted.

I think if you want to add extra weight, weights on the cam bands or a weighted STA is the best way to go. |
