You should always give Scuba Toys fist shot, they will always work with you to make sure you get the best possible deal and their knowledge of the gear is a valuable bonus. Remember there is a 10% off deal for participating in the forum and free shipping on most orders.

Golem gear package, or Diverite +MachV package, hmmmmm..... the golem gear package seems to be more complete for its price, and possibly wins on toughness. Whereas the Diverite package has the super streamlined wing, but will probably exceed $400 after including the diveknife, cam bands, and SS nuts and bolts, plus the SS BP is heavy too.

Arrrgghhm dilemma! Which to pick!?!?!?! And should I even be buying now anyway, I've spent around 6000USD on diving already. Maybe I should wait for my 250 post to save an extra 50USD first......

The GolemGear also comes with steel-buckle cam-bands.

That said, talk to ST first. I did so before I bought my BP/W set-up. The GolemGear BP/W and HammerHead SS plate came highly recommended, so that's why I went that direction (back in Feb 2007)

For STA, check out the oxycheq mini sta. I bought them from ST and they work quite well. You may need to buy a new set of bolt and nut though as I find the oxycheq ones too short. That can bought easily (and cheaply) in Sg.

BTW Crandf, I can pass you a local contact that sells cam bands at a good price, should you need to buy them separately. You need to call them to check if they are in stock though. PM me if you want that option.

Hi Crandf! Fellow singaporean here too! I just bought an Oxycheq UL bp and Mach V 18lb wing and TRUST me..this setup is the one you want to own if u are diving mostly tropical waters! Light, streamlined and perfect trim!i owned oms alu plate/DR wing and found it too heavy for travelling. if u need STAs, the oxycheq mini ones are really good like what Lj82 suggested!

Lj82 could you pm me where you got your longer bolts and nuts in SG for your mini STA? i find them too short as well!

Don't go down too late as they close shop pretty early.
Bring your original bolt set down and tell them you want a longer one. Remember to check if its marine grade steel and such.
