Ooooooo, so there IS more than 2 of us here.....
Thx for the tip LjJ82 ![]() And psssst, Scubachris, how much and from where? (Hmmm, u wouldn't happen to be the same Chris who went to Bali with me on National day, lost one glove, and transformed into a koala when caught in a strong current at Crystal Bay would you?) However, 18lbs is enough meh? I am a burly 80 kg, will probably usually be wearing 3mm wetsuit, carrying torch, diveknife, slate, smb, not much else. And what if I get a camera in the future? Will I end up struggling to stay afloat after ascending? |

18lbs should be fine, but I would go with the mach V 30lbs for more flexibility. I don't think the difference in size would be that significant.

Yup. Due to the grade it won't be dirt cheap but still pretty reasonable. It's a bit cheaper if you buy more. I suggest buying an extra set as spare.

i dont see any package on ST website so I went with CaveAdventurers. You can check out NorthEast Scuba Supply too! Or even better pm Joe/Larry and check if ST has any similiar deals! I think u can upgrade the wing to a 30lb Mach V as they are both priced the same. Both 18lb n 30lb wing dimensions are ALMOST similiar so no issues on bulkiness! |

OMG, I only started this thread mainly to gather feedback only, not really intending to buy for now, but now my fingers are getting really itchy..... especially with christmas 2.5 months away, need to order quick if I want a shorter delivery time. Well, I'll decide after Joe/Larry replies with a price quote.
BTW, what material is the oxycheq ultra lite made of? |

haha..
Crandf, it is very difficult to 'tahan' the temptations. I am having a tough time holding back my urge to get a set of bp/w for my gf. Now that the exchange rate is to our favor it is even more difficult to resist the temptations.

Crandf,
you can ask larry or joe if ST carry those fanciful coloured bp. Actually colour of the bp itself is kind of pointless, since you can't really see it after you don your bp. The colours of the wings and harness on the other hand......

I'm wondering, is STA really needed with the MachV wing? It seems that the tank is quite stable already. So the STA seems to be only beneficial in that it shifts weight from your weight belt to your BP, and the tank is further from the BP so there's more room for head and your octopus hoses. Thing is, I plan to remain on single tanks, and I dun mind wearing a weightbelt, at least its ditchable underwater, so maybe I should just stick to DR Al BP, MachV, Salvo harness, and ask Larry/Joe nicely for a good diveknife to match Golem Gears package.
