Oxycheq Mini STAs problem

I recently got a pair of the mini STAs.When I attached them to my bp and after tightening them,
I found that my sta could still rotate about in its position! I checked my wingnuts and found them to be
very tight! Does anyone face this problem as well?

Using the square bolts that fit into the square holes on the two adapters?

Is it a problem? How is it when there is a tank there?

It shouldn't rotate due to the square end of the bolt and square holes on ur mini.

Only if the solid metal your tanks are made from somehow allow the solid metal STA plates to rotate even while securely strapped to each other.

(read: it'll be fine)

As Compudude said, the STA's are perfectly stable when they have a tank in them. One thing you have to be careful of with the mini-STAs is that the wing nuts come loose when the tank is not attached. As the STA twists back and forth, it will loosen the wing nut. My son had his top wing nut fall off and his tank swiveled around on the lower bolt and was hanging by the hose to his necklased regulator.

This is not a problem if the wingnuts are tight at the start of the dive, because the STAs cannot move with a tank in them. It is only a problem during transit and storage. We just tighten the wingnuts before every dive as we strap in the tank, and we haven't had a problem since.

The STA doesn't rotate around the bolt, the bolt rotates in the hole in the backplate/wing.
