Need Advice On A BC for Tall/Thin Woman
I am in the midlle of my OW certification and am looking to buy a BC. My problem is I am 5'8" and 115Lbs with a short waist and long legs. I have talked with Larry and Joe to try and get some suggestions. We have tried on the Zeagle Zena, Oceanic Hera and Genesis Tropic. They all seem nice but they are all around $400-$440. Does anyone have any ideas for maybe a more economical BC but that will still fit? I am willing to pay the price if I don't have a choice but I thought I would check. I noticed there was some on clearance at ST and one that they only have in small an Aeris Atmos St also Oceanic Isla. Just to let you know I am so new that I do not have a preference on jacket, back or hybrid. Any advice will be much appreciated.

My daughter is using a size small atmos xt. I think you caan get them for about $200.00 at scubatoys. She is 5-7. The harness seems to fit a female pretty well. I think it is a little bulky, but she likes it. To date she has used a scubapro classic, a Seaquest probe and a BPW. She like the Aeris Atmos,

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but you could check out a backplate and wing (BP/W) configuration. It won't cost less than what you're already looking at, but they are infinitely customizable for fit.
Personally I dive a Zeagle Zena (don't like BP/Ws) and feel it was worth every penny I spent. I have over 100 dives on mine and not only does it look brand new, but I'm confident I can get another 500 dives on it.

when my wife was trying BC's on, I noticed one thing - all the longer mens style bc's hit her hips weird... she's short though, 5'2" or so... I would imagine a mens small would almost be better fit because they are typically a little longer than the womens versions...
