nope, but call larry or joe directly and they can package out a DR or Oxycheq set up for you which will probably beat the price on either of those two. Cant go wrong with Oxycheq plate/Mach V wing.... it's the lowest of low profile wings.. a sweet set up indeed!

I own a GolemGear BP/W combo (AL backplate). I also use a HammerHead SS BP. I know nothing of the DSS guarantee. The GolemGear has a lifetime waranty.
<DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV>The GG 35# wing is a bladder that is zippered into a thick outer covering. That covering is built like a tank. If the bladder is ever punctured, I can repair it with a tire repair kit in an emergency. However, if I'm not using it soon, I can return it for repair or replacement.</DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV>The GG also came with two SS cam tank straps and a small BC knife.</DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV>Normally, the GG combo (either SS or AL) is $530. It is on sale for $390.</DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV>I cannot compare GG to DSS because I have no experience with the DSS. Larry will have the full scoop there.</DIV>

<DIV>My bad, I assumed you were looking at the Oxycheq packages at Golem Gear, in which case ST would a viable option, but I don't think they carry Golems in-house brand. And I was just throwing it out there as I've had many folks tell me the ST guys have been able to put together a package for them to fit a budget while still getting exactly what they were looking for. </DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV>And secretly, the second half of your statement is wrong! </DIV> |

I've heard great things about both Golem and DSS. I'm sure you'd be happy with either choice. The Golem single tank rig is on sale right now for $390, and it's hard to find a better price than that on a BP/W kit. A DSS rig isn't a whole lot more expensive, though. You might want to figure out how much lift you need, and base your decission on that. I think Golem only offers a 35# wing for single, and that might be more than you need. Bigger wings add more drag, so It's nice to get the smallest one that will suit your personal needs. DSS offers several different single tank wings from 17-40# of lift. The DSS wings are also a longer, narrower design, if you like that.

My friend has the Golem Gear rig. It's really fabulous... built like a tank.
The OxyCheq Mach V and Tobin's LCD wings are both far more streamlined, however (the Golem is not bad by any means, it's just outclassed when you compare to the best of the best in the streamlining department). And if you are super tough on your gear (trust me, the regular gear is quite tough in it's own right) there is also the OxyCheq Mach V Extreme series, which are absurdly tough by all reports. I haven't yet read a direct comparison of the Extreme series wings and the Golem wings, however, and I'm very interested to hear how they compare. |
