Just a quick question. I'll be visiting my brother in Dallas in a few weeks and Scubatoys is our 1st stop.
<DIV></DIV>For those of you who have the Zena, do you have any trouble with the zipper? That is one of my concerns. I'm worried that the zipper might give out. |

It's great that you're posting here to get some non-biased opinions. I'll let you know our history with it... of course don't believe me... I'm a salesman!
Seriously though, we have sold well over 1000 zena BCs, and have not had one ever have a zipper problem. I talked to Scott from Zeagle, (he kinda' runs the show over there - you can find him lurking around the Zeagle Manufacturers section here) and he told me the same thing. They have yet to have a problem with them. So although I originally had the same fears, it turns out they were not well founded as I've never even heard of anyone having a problem with the zipper. But if anyone has... post up and let us know what the problem was, and if and how it was cured! |

Wife just got hers from ST yesterday, so not a lot of experience with it, but I can tellyou the thing looks heavy-duty. Just trying it on last night she couldn't believe how comfortable and secure the Zena felt compared to the rental jacket's she used during our OW training...She's an XS in the Zena so they really didn't haveanything that fit her properly..
We'll be putting tanks on it and my new Brigade and playing in the pool tonight when I get home. Hope it feels as secure to her with a tank on and in thewater.. Last edited by ntburchf : 07-27-2007 at 12:18 PM. Reason: Removed the <div left of code |

I don't dive dry, but if I did, I'd be very concerned that the corset of the Zena would interfere with the front drysuit valve on some drysuits. I met someone a couple of years ago who had a DUI (I think) drysuit with the valve dead center on her chest. Her Zena zipped right below it and she had no interference.
Frankly, if I ever decide to dive dry, I'll likely buy myself a heavy steel backplate with a wing for local diving and keep my Zena for travel. With all the weight necessary for diving cold, having a bunch of weight as a backplate to get weight off my belt makes the most sense to me. |

I'm a fairly new diver but my Zena is the best. I love the way you can tighten it down and feel secure. Nothing shifts or squeezes you. It adjusts as you gain those few pounds every month and you can't tell any difference in the fit. A woman's best friend (IMHO)
