Talking Oxycheq Mach V Extreme Wing. WOW!!!

let me tell you... i just got this thing in about an hour ago, i cant get over how well made, and how resistant it is! This thing looks like alligator skin, but it is still soft. the bladder is super thick too, i don't think it will ever puncture!!
impressed i am
and of course... thanks to Joe and Larry and the rest of the Scubatoys gang for setting me on the right path

Gorrila, what are you planning on diving that would require the extreme edition?

Oh, you better start knocking on some wood after that post...

Come on, calling it "un-sinkable", I dare you!! LOL.

FD

But yes, the mach 5 wing is great item. I can only imagine how much better it is as an armored wing.

I am glad to hear that it is a good wing. I normally do not order anything without first looking at it, but I know of no vendor in my area. Because it was a good price, I ordered the 40lb Mach V Extreme a couple of days ago. I have never holed a BC, but once south of Carmel a rouge wave smashed my buddy into the rocks against a cliff. His BC got a small puncture from an urchin, or mussel or something. I tossed him my BC just before he yelled wave. I luckily turned and swam through it. My tank was gouged pretty badly when the wave hit. I have no intention of diving in over 10 foot swells where the shoreline disappears when you're in the trough, but sometimes conditions change while you're underwater. My purchase of the Extreme version was based on price. Though I guess I would not have to worry too much about brushing against sea life covered boulders when fishing in bad surge conditions except for my gloves and knees. I look forward to trying out the wing. I hope it works out for me.

I'm sure you will be happy with the extreme version of this wing.

Just an FYI for anyone reading, the "regular" Mach V wing now also has slots for your cam bands in a STA-less configuration.

I'm eyeing up one as well. I think it is only 20 bucks more. I hope it will be one of the last wings I buy, so going with the extreme seems like a good move.
Post some pics of your setup.

It was like $100 more when I got my signature Mach V. Not worth the extra coin at the time since I wasn't going to be doing anything crazy with it.

But $20???? Heck yeah. That's a great deal.
