Roatan Departure Tax

Does anyone know what the current departure tax is for Roatan? I've seen different amounts on various websites - $20, $25, $27, $32. We leave in 7 days (woo hoo!!!) and I want to make sure we tuck that cash away.

As you already mentioned, it is a CASH only deal.... I was there in Dec 2006 but I don't remember what I paid, sorry.

Add $29 to the list I'm just going to set aside the max amount I see, which so far is $32, and if its less I'll buy myself a soda.

$32 is what I recall paying in 2006. In cash.

Wonder what happens if you tell them you can't pay the money? Do they get to keep you there?

And the final answer is... $34! Just confirmed with the owner of the resort we're staying at. They must have raised it recently. Seems a bit steep to me...

We were there in Feb..and it was $34.16. Don't ask me where or why but the .16 must count for something. I gave them $35.00 and didn't get change -not that it was a big deal but times that by the number of people going through and it would certainly add up !
