I was on the Peter Hughes boat last November. Great time, excellent diving, despite some strong currents. Anyone else done the same recently?

My favorite place to dive, been there twice.
<DIV>Didn't stay on a live-aboard though. </DIV>
<DIV>We were based out of San Pedro and did daily boat divesto the reef, wanted to see the attractions during our surface intervals.</DIV>
<DIV>Plan to go back there again in spring 2009.</DIV>

is it possible to do some of the farther dives, like the blue hole, when using a day boat?

Yes, I would recommend Amigo Del Mar (best reputation/boat when we weretalking with the locals). It is all day and have been told the second and third dive of the day are better than the Blue Hole. Plan to make this dive on our next trip.

Just got home from spending a week on the Sun Dancer II. It was fantastic. The crew was stellar, the food fantastic and, oh the diving was great too .It was my first dive trip in 10 years and man, what a blast.Sleep, eat, dive.Repeat 5 times a day. Everything was first class and we didn't want for anything, except even more bottom time. Mywife and I had so much fun that we already signed up to do the Star Dancer in Papa New Guinea next summer.

I was on the Belize Aggressor III in June 2005. Excellent time! When we got back to port, we also boarded the Sun Dancer and got a nice comparison of the two boats. I would consider going out on either in the future.

<DIV>Yeah, while we didn't get a chance to tour the Agressor, the boat looks nice and followed a very similar itinerary as we did during the week.I think in terms of quality, they're both very similar. </DIV>

<DIV>I guess since I was so impressed with theSun Dancer II, Peter Hughes earned my business for the near future. Back rubs after every dive and 4 course dinnerscan'tbe argued with anda discount and free nitrox on my trip to Papa New Guinea next year is hard to turn down. I know...I sound like a shill for the Dancer fleet, but I don't have a reason at this point to try the Agressor fleet. If after the PNG trip I feel things could be better, I'd gladly givethem atry. </DIV>
