How do you say it....?
Where is the accent?
Is it.... CAR-ibbean or....ca-RIB-bean You hear it both ways, all the time... ??

I believe accent on CAR is more correct.
Living closer to the Bahamas than I do to Disney world, we use the accent on RIB. As a fan of the Jerky Boys, I put the accent on BEAN. LOL

There are enormous numbers of local variations.
The one most familiar to me is essentially a slightly glamorized: KRIB-yun. But... Wichita is definitely pronouned...wuh-ich-IT-tah.
