Cuba
My better half has bought an all inclusive one week trip to Varadero Cuba for us. I have never been to Cuba---let alone dove there. Any insights--I am an experienced diver--rec only---looking for a decent dive shop and any other "local" tips.
Please do not hijack the thread and talk about Fidel, communism or universal health care-- thanks in advance Dave |

We are Canadian--so travel is legal to Cuba. As for grabbing your helmet--the reason we are going is that your Nobel Peace winner will open up travel to Cuba with in a couple of years--and then direct flights with 300 million people able to practise their bouncing skills off the reef.
Opposed to the 30 million Canadians which go there now and kick the crap out of it. More people = more damage to the reef. Direct flights to Bonaire from USA has had the same effect. |
