Playa Del Carmen in Jan.

I PM'ed Jason at Fantaseadive.com and plan on diving with him while on a business trip in Jan. So just a general question:

What other ops do a great job with divers? Which ones do you avoid? Any horror stories?

I used the one the hotel offered at Gran Sirenes they were nice enough. If you can jump over to Coz its a world apart and only 45 mins by the ferry if I remember right

I went with Scuba Du on Cozumel. They were based at the El Presidente resort hotel. I believe one of the options with them is to dive at Playa del Carmen.

I've used the dive shop located at the Grand Sirienis. The dive shop is called Aqua Inn. They have always treated me right, but have heard a lot of negatives. A couple years ago a couple was killed while parasailing with them.

The diving was great with them and they sold me a package for $300 to do 3 ocean dives, 2 cenote dives, and 2 dives in Coz (they took care of everything). One dive I was a little concerned because they had a young 10 year old doing a Discover Scuba Class and took him down to about 80 feet.

I would recommend them based on how they treated me, but others have had problems.

I normally don't post bad crap about other op's but something needs to be said. Aqua Inn has lost a couple divers (as in they died while diving and the accidents could have been avoided) this year. I would beware of them.
