Hurricane Ida

I've been busy getting ready for my trip to Bonaire (leave in less than 24 hours) and somehow missed the news on Hurricane Ida. Any updates? The little I've been able to find out is that Nicaragua got hit fairly hard?

Here's a great source for you Snagle: Track Hurricane Ida / Stormpulse / Hurricanes, severe weather, tracking, mapping

From the map, the strom is a little inland in Nicaragua and almost heading straight North. Coz is in it's path, Roataan is on the fringe of the path and Cancun is goone take a guestimated hit. Right now, it's only a tropical depression....

Tropical depression=a minor midwest thunderstorm.... Granted these are bigger.

I'm going to guess you'll be okay in Bonaire.

I've been tracking the weather in Bonaire and it is showing rain showers most every day....probably some wrap around from Ida.

Thanks for the link and info, Navy.

Snagel,
Not sure I'd put a lot of faith into weather reports about Bonaire. Maybe it will be different this time but when I've looked prior to going they had little correlation to what actually happened--for the better :-)

Yea, the weather forcast says rain, but I'm looking at the webcams and it appears to be dry and sunny....I think the cams are somewhat real time.

Who knows, not going to cancel a dive trip due to rain. Leaving in about an hour for the airport.

Yep.....Resorts' webcams are helpful...I watch Cocoview's in Roatan, Scuba Club in Cozumel, and the Bonaire webcams.
