Just returned from my first diving vacation (just a week after OW certification. We dove with Sergio Sandoval Sr., owner of Aquatic Sports (Deportes Acuaticos). Diving with Sergio was a great experience. We were the only two diving with the 4 days we dove, so we had his full attention and learned a lot from him. Sergio was able to show us a lot of marine life, he even found a splendid toadfish and we managed to catch a glimpse. Sergio took photos during all of the dives and gave us a CD full of photos at the end of the week.
I'll post more details about the trip tomorrow, but for now I'm done with the computer for the night. |

We're newbies, so we rented most of our equipment. However, I took a BC that I rented here at home and they kept that overnight for me. We kept our snorkel, fins and masks with us, but I'm sure you could ask him to keep it. I highly recommend Sergio Sr. He has been diving in Cozumel for 35 years and spends all of his time diving, doing research on the reefs and trying to educate the locals on what they have. He's a fascinating person to talk to (the site gives some of his background). He definitely knows how to find marine life that you would never notice, he takes tons of photos and gives you a CD at the end of the trip, provides a good lunch and really just takes the time to make sure you have a great experience.

I just got back from Cozumel last week as well. We dove with Aldora Divers. 120 HP Steel tanks gave some serious bottom times..some of our group was getting 90 minutes.
<DIV></DIV> <DIV>Yes they kept and cleaned our gear overnight. Picked us up right from the dock of our hotel and dropped us off afterwards. Treated us very well. I'd dive with them again.</DIV> |

Has anyone experienced a trip with Scuba with Alison in Cozumel? We are looking to book with her and have heard one or two good things, but looking for some more reinforcement. Thanks!<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

The wife and I, and another person on this forum (94gtstang) and his girlfriend, are all headed down there
07/26/2007 - 08/01/2007 We are using a small diver operator... last year he took us out, and it was just him, the driver of the small boat, and the 4 of us. He kept our gear overnight, and cleaned it off. Picked us up from the pier in front of the hotel. |
