I stayed there a few years ago (2003 i think). The resort is fine - didn't like Sand Dollar (cattle boats, wouldn't let me dive below 60 ft without proof of an AOW - even though I have several hundred logged dives). Many of the in-town shops will pick you up at the pier - find one of dive shops that offers smaller groups and better service. Haven't been back to Coz in several years, but we loved Pepe's (not sure if they are still going.) I am sure others with more recent experience will help you find a good dive operator.

Brian-
We stay at the Wyndham (formerly the Reef Club) and dive with Sand Dollar EVERY TIME (several years). In fact, our group will be there 12/2 - 12/9 (pass you at the airport). We really enjoy the resort and have only had GREAT experiences with Sand Dollar. Their Divemasters are top notch, give decent dive briefings, and allowed us to extend bottom times if diving our "computer" profiles. Sand Dollar is also very convenient. They are located right at the resort, and have lockers and rinse tanks readily available for their customers. You'll have a great time. Feel free to e-mail me if you need additional information. We dove with Sand Dollar Sports in December, last year. It was a one day cruise excursion. The boat was small, only the group from the ship (so this may not be a good review for your needs), the divemasters were excellent, very safety conscious (we had a "hotdog" in the group which they had to reign in a couple of times), all in all, very good dives.
BTW...Don't let them talk you into purchasing the dive video, it was very poorly done (I wanted to say something else)...
