Well, it finally happened.....we broke the 68F mark......yesterday for my birthday i gave myself three dives......

Dive 1. North Wall.......66F limited vis.....thermocline at about 75ft that dropped another 5 or 6 degrees.......lots and lots of fish, big groupers are still here...the mantas are hiding....

Dive 2. Landīs End .....68F better vis, still not above 50ft.......strong surge......splashed at the sea lion colony, man, theyre fun to watch......several lobster, and smaller rays.....not many divers in the water....kind of like my private ocean.....

Dive 3 Pelican Rock......wow! 67F we found the fish.....a big hamachi (yellowtail) kept cruising right above us looking for lunch I presume.....lots of grouper, and brightly colored reef fish.....the eels were partying.....everybody but the divers happy that the nutrient waters of winter have arrived....

I wore 5mm with a hood on the first doves and I was uncomfortable after the second dive.....third dive I switched to 7mm and it was a comepletely different experience....

After a very long autumn, and extended warmer temps late in the season, winter has officially arrived....so if youre on your way to Cabo for winter vacation.....bring your 7mm and your thick hood......

nope....itīll drop another 3 or 4 degrees.....max cold at depth around 60F....which, since I am big baby when it comes to water temps and vis, doesnīt keep me out of the water, but gives me another reason to bitch!
