Was there week before last. Take bug spray, I used 30% deet, only a few bites, use first thing in AM, and after getting out of the water, the mosquitos are pretty bad at sunset, but not so much during the day. A;so atke a dive light if you have one and spare batteries, the cannot get good batteries they told me.
--When not diving, relax on the beach, they have a lot of hammocks in the shade to read, nap or just relax, they also have pool tables, ping pong and volleyball.
--There is only one place to eat, the place is an island and nothing is near, the food is all right, but nothing special.
--There is a little store on site with beer, sodas and t-shirts. The sodas are cheaper at the dive shop, and the t-shirts and souvenirs are cheaper and more plentiful at the airport. If you can, get your driver to stop at a store on your way in to get drinks before going to the resort.
--Watch out for the monkeys, they are cute and playful, but they are thiefs, they will go through your stuff if left on the beach or around the pool. Must dive a lot, do the shore dive, there is a shallow reef to the left of the gazebo, and a wreck to the right, do it as a day and night dive, it's fun, lots of growth on the ship, and many compartments to penetrate.
--Non-dives: there is a canopy tour, I did the "Extreme" it has long and high zip lines, but the others offered more lines and looked like more or a jungle tour, take your pick. Also there is also a little sea plane that will pick up at the resort and take you for a tour, pricey, but looks so cool, we couldn't get a reservation. Also at the activities dest, there are catalogs of things to do and the resort runs a few outings in the evenings.

i hope you enjoy yourself, I dove a lot and had a good time.

If I may add to danny bot, having been there also...

Plan yourself a night out in West end, Fantassy island will arrange a minivan for you to take you there and back, and basically stay with you all evening for your convenience (take you wherever you want). The driver will also look out for you (and obviously want to take you to restaurants and bars where he gets kickbacks, unless you have a specific place you want him to take you ). All this, for only 50$. For 1 person, it's expensive. But round up some other guests you get along with to share the cost and it comes out pretty cheap. The van can take 6 people easily.

I wish we'd done the zip line tour...sounded like a lot of fun. But we did bargain with a local and took a mangrove tour in his dugout....that was cool, saw some interesting stuff and he had a lot of comments to share about the locals as well.
