3 mil full suit. I arrive Sat Feb 2. Last year at this time I tried the 1 mil. On the 2nd day, 2nd dive I was shivering after a half hour. Water was 78. Full 3 mil in Feb from now on for me. Others go with 3 mil shorties but 1 mil, multiple days, doesn't cut it anymore.

I was in Cozumel in March and the water was 82 degrees. I wore a 1.5 AND a 3mL and I was comfortable. Next time I'll just bring my BRAND NEW HENDERSON HYPERSTRETCH!

It was 79 day before yesterday. I was comfortable in my 5/4 Bare. Did a night dive a few days before that and it was about the same depending on what thermocline you were in. (very cool thermocline effects here at night, I suppose due to the currents, which were also very very weird that night).

Think a 5 mm or 7 mm will work also?

the 7mm sounds like overkill.....for me, but again, it all depends on your own comfort zone. Then again, i did 3 dives/day last jan in Coz, all in a skin and was toasty, except on the boat.

I was in key largo in March 2007. Water temp was about 75 degrees. I took my 7mm.

Yep, I was hot for the first 5 minutes of every dive. Had to put some cold water in my suit. But, after 70 minutes in the water, I was happy I had the 7mil on. My buddy and I were making four dives each day, average of four hours in the water per day. I was very comfortable in the 7mil.

I don't like to be cold.

I don't mind taking the 7mm suit, the problem is my mom will get mad because she will be yelling that I'm burning myself up.
