I would probably say between 78 - 80. Some may disagree.

A 3 mm should be plenty warm enough for Cozumel.

Just read a forum on scuba board were a couple just returned from a cruise to cozumel and Grand Caymon and said that the water temp was 81 degrees. I leave on a cruise the 16th Feb for the same locations and it sure sounds a lot better then the 49-53 degrees that I dive here. Here is a link the thier post.

I was there last January and wore a 3mm full. I was very comfortable and that is all I am bringing with me when I return this February. A friend I dove with last January wore a shorty and he was fine; however, the DM that was with us complained he was freezing in a 7mm. (That was just because he was in the water so much). You should be fine with a 3mm.

I dive in a full 1mm as well. That's the plan for February.

COZ water temp

What suit you want depends on how warm you dive. A few weeks ago my son and I were diving there - at times it was warmer in the water than on the boat (bottom temp 78-80). We were diving in "rashguards" and we were fine - everyone else on the boat in 3 mil shorties and longs.
