Cancun trip review

Thanks everyone for their suggestions and tips.

Cancun was fantastic!! Mayan Aqua Diver (M.A.D.) is an outstanding dive shop, they pay great attention to their divers and only run SMALL groups. Most of the week we were 2 to 1 with DM / DM-trainee's. The largest group we went out with was 10 people.

The diving was great, but there is a current there so you learn to follow the actions of the fish. Swim with the surge, rest in the ebb. All and all a great time.

I would post the picture's here, but there are too many, so if anyone is interested, Flickr: Photos from a_doghouse .

The coolest thing was "sitting" in a hole in the coral and watching a school of baracuda circle overhead. 20-30 of them all 3-4' long. Stunning to see.
They were too far away to get a good picture, but there were some that came close enough.

Thanks for sharing. We also saw a spooted eagle ray on the C-38. Really cool! Sounds like you had a good time.

The diving is great, I plan to make another trip soon. Ben and his crew made all the difference in the diving.

That reefmaster is a great camera. While not a slr, it is very good. I am getting a strobe and sun shade for it before my next trip.
