Are you brand new to diving? I've got less than 25 dives and spent a few months reading and learning before I even knew the questions I should be asking, where and how I'd be diving, etc.

After diving a few times, and in class, I realized a few things and got to try a handful of different equipment.

For example, I never thought i'd be interested in diving in colder water until my OW Checkout dives. Now I know I will and that lead me to needing a reg set that would handle cold water (ended up w/ Oceanic Delta IV and FDX-10).

In training and my first few dives I got REALLY tired of having my BC roll around me, ride up on me, etc. I also learned I didn't like jacket type. So, it was clear I needed to get a correctly fitting, back inflate BC (ended up w/ Ranger LTD).

Also found out that my biggest annoyance thus far on dives other than a loose BC is all the hoses all over me. So I also found out I'd want an integrated octo/inflator on my bc and I'd want a wireless AI computer (ended up w/ Oceanic VT3 & Zeagle Octo Z).

Without being under a few times I'd have jumped into gear without knowing what I really preferred and may not have enjoyed things as much.

The ONLY downside to waiting is that you aren't spending as much time underwater in YOUR gear so it would take a bit longer to get used to things. I think that's a small price to pay for waiting and not having to post all your new stuff here for sale if you don't like it.

just my $.02.

I will chime in here.

I have not dived the Zeagle Brigade. But, I have hear a lot a great comments about it. Good choice.

I have used an Aeris Atmos AI for the past 4 years. I am very happy with it. Make sure you pay the extra 50 bucks for the download cable. I really like the fact that I can download my dive data and extract valuable information (SAC, Depth, Duration, Temp, Ascent rates, etc.)

I have zero experience with Tusa Regs. Hopefully someone else can chime in on this one.

I have used other mares regs and like the performance. ThiThe Brigade Viper looks like it will live up to the Mares reputation.

Re; The rolling duffle bag. I prefer to use a simple mesh duffle for on the boat. It takes up less space. If you are getting it for travel, the wheels make a huge difference in airports. Good luck.

Send a message via AIM to rox@ucf11
I would suggest you dive for awhile and figure out what you really want those are pretty good items...but it would sucj to not like them and to sell them in a couple months
