Why do I keep theese cards in my wallet?

I have been to several different dive sites/charters sicne ive started diving and i have yet to be asked for my cards or logbooks. My assumption is that because once i was certified i started diving with my instructors recreationally so normally they are with me when i go to a new place but i still find it odd that ive never once been asked for a card. Am I the only one who has had this happen to me?

I've never been asked... but I keep 'em in my wallet to impress the chicks! Unfortunately... It doesn't.

I've been asked for air fills and to dive on charter boats pretty regularly.

You'll get asked as soon as you don't have it. Never fails.

WOW, I can't thinkof a dive charter of commercial site that I've been to that didn't ask. In fact several of them keep the card till your account is zeroed out when you leave.

Only once have I been asked to see a logbook.

I've hardly ever been asked for my cards and I've never been asked for my log book. I only carry 1 card in my wallet and I leave my log book at home after we were robbed blind one day while diving. We came back from our dive to discover that everything, even our truck had been stolen. I was left with no c-cards left and had to replace everything so now I try to take as little as possible.

Got asked at American Pro dive shop in Crystal River, Fl, for my card before they would fill my tank. I was somewhat surprised. Never been "carded" before....I guess most places assume if you show up in a truck full of dive gear, with dive stickers on the back window, smelling like water and neoprene, hair still wet and ask for tanks to be filled, you must be certified.

But I keep it in my wallet regardless
