Morning dives? I usually eat an energy bar, then a samwich for lunch...I've done crazy things and eaten HOT chili on a surface interval last October...I did NOT offer to open anyone's dry suit after that dive! Woohoooooo!!

I try to get a protein packed breakfast, more carbs for lunch, snack, and then a normal dinner.

My eating habits are pretty abnormal from most Americans as I typically try and avoid/limit most meat (except fish).. but I'll throw my two cents in anyway.

PreDive Breakfast: Homeade Brown Sugar/Cinnamon/Raisin Oatmeal.. breakfast of champions

InBetween Dive Lunch: PB&J, Fruit, Water.. maybe yogurt if I have a cooler? Also picking up a sandwhich @ subway isn't a bad idea
Snack: ClifBar... I have tons and tons of ClifBars on hand at all times in my house and usually have a few stashed in the car.. or a backpack if I'm carrying one. They don't taste like a typical energy bar.. very tasty.

Dinnah: Pizza.. Pasta.. Subway whatever..

I would avoid greasy/fatty foods just because they're unhealthy in general and for a lot of people the grease is a point of heart burn or indigestion problems.

So a good healthy option for alternative to cliffbars would be myoplex.
Something great about them is they offer a ton of diff types (low carb, full meal replacement, etc.)

One thing I warn, some of the desserty ones (like the cookies and cream) are really rich so if you don't like sweets, go for another type.
When I travel and when I'm really busy in life, I keep an ample stash of these things around. I'm a big dude (6'4" two hundred and *cough*) and they fill me up no problem.

I tend to stick to the "Low Carb meal replacement" but if you are diving constantly, get the card.. it'll help.

I usually eat cereal or something easy on the stomach. Then lunch is a sandwich, turkey or ham, and some fruit. Lots of water along the way and then whatever I want for dinner.

If I am finished with diving by noon, then I'll eat whatever I want for lunch as well. Usually a greasy burger and fries....YUM!!!!

There was something in Rodale's Scubadiving about a year ago about nutrition bars, weirdly enough they found Snicker's Marathon bars to be all around good for diving.... I usually have one of those in my pack and eat that between dives with lots of water.

Breakfast is usually something not too greasy but with some good protein. If I'm finished by lunch its all about a grouper sandwich and conch fritters. And a cold one to wash it down
