I am so over it!

Dont' know about the rest of you guys, but I for one cannot wait for April!

This 3 mil **** is for the birds. Gotta add a couple pounds of weight..PIA..!

Then there is the matter of putting on a 3 mil when the air temp is like 80. Sticky skin... feel too warm waiting for DIVE..DIVE..DIVE when you get set up.

Sometimes I think diving during the winter is JUST NOT worth the hassle.

Be thankful for what you have dude. There's no blue water for me for hundreds of miles. And if I do dive, it's in a quarry with water temps in the low 40s. I'd trade with you any day.

How's that 3mm now?

My Bad. I should have posted in the Florida Forum.

But it was funny today. I was OK with a 3 Mil, but there were people in drysuits. Water temps low 70's. A couple seconds and all was good. I had a hood too.
We have been weeniefied. I feel like a weenie for posting. LOL

I know. I have no work tomorrow so I am cleaning gear and the neighbors are mixing Martinis. Had a case of the stupids.
My young dive buddy down the street just got himself a 600CC Rice Burnin Crotch rocket (Honda RD???). I was test driving for him . (Squid: my God, those things should not be in the hands of children. Talk about Torque!)

But, we are partying. That is my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Poor Tim,
When I left for work Friday morning it was 5 deg. When I got to work it was -5 deg. When I got to my sales call in Concord NH it was -18. Today was another 6 inches of snow but a nice warm 25 deg. Water temp is 39 deg, which is fine, but by the time I finished shoveling I didn't have the energy to go diving.
Mike S? Any sympathy from you either?

whine, whine, whine .... count your blessing you can go dive in a 3 mil!! The surface temp at the lake here is 57, and it drops to a lovely 56 at about 60 feet .... it's going to be quite awhile before I can even use a 3 mil around here!!

..

I don't blame you Splitlip. I just returned from Florida late Thursday. With the exception of Tuesday, the weather was beautiful the entire time I was there. I even had the opportunity to dive off the coast of Jupiter/West Palm Beach on Saturday the 10th. For me, the water temp was a perfect 73 degrees! If I lived there, I'd try to be in the water at least every other weekend.

LOL. I have one buddy (local) who just won't dive November to April. Period. Low 70's he just won't do it. For the bigger issue is seas. I tend to get seasick which is why in the winter I do mostly single tanks. No SI.
