Care and feeding of trolls.

I know you're not supposed to feed the trolls, but I'm finding it increasingly difficult to let my ignore list handle things for me.

Is anyone else itching to do some rectal spelunking with a troll or two? I've got two people in my ignore list, and I seem to be having some poor impulse control as I keep hoping against hope that they will have something intelligent to say. Alas, I'm constantly disappointed and reminded that all they seem to be doing is trying to pad their post count.

Would anyone like to form a support group, or a spelunking group?

I can't say that I've seen any trollish behaviour lately.

I was just going to say that the staff on here seems to do a good job of quieting the trolls very quickly.

Based on some of the vacillation of one of these people, I'm thinking that the staff have gotten on to him already. And I will agree, the percentage of trolls on this forum is rather low, which is something that I appreciate.

I really haven't seen many hortatory speeches since the poster that Tommy removed last week. But I do share the idea of not feeding trolls.

I can empathize ... some days it's hard to stop the fingers from responding!! But I do agree there are way less trolls here on ST than some of the other boards!

True.

And I dropped in on a promising looking new forum a few weeks ago that was totally overun with garbage promotional postings. I felt sorry for whoever took the time and put so much work into getting the site together..... but then had a bunch of jerks to deal with.
