My only complaint with the site...

Is there any easy way to improve the wish list feature. I would love it if:

1.) the cookie from the forum left me signed in on the e-com site as well
2.) I didn't have to resign in after I added something to the wish list to see the list.

Just a thought

2 different cookies-and 2 different servers.
The forum cookie, is not the same as the scubatoys.com cookie as it's 2 different domains / servers --

since the site uses .php could you use a SESSION variable and store it on a third mutual server?

For example, one server hosts the database that controls the listing items/shopping carts/etc.
Another server, hosts the website/etc.

Can't you use the webserver or the gateway server as the gateway for authentication? So the gateway sets the session id and then the rest of the cluster just looks to the gateway for authentication?

Just my 2psi

The shopping cart uses ASP
And this server your on now does use sessions--

Also, I think Larry has the cart log you off after X seconds for security reasons.
So setting it up to remember you would be a moot point.

Is there anyway adding something to the wishlist could at least take you to your wish list? I'm not a network admin but most of the other wishlists I have used seem to function this way. At least that would eliminate the double sign-in

So... just from a theory stand point...

Session ID's reference cookies. Can't you develop the ASP cookie to push out the Session reference information and basically "mimic" the session?

Also, couldn't you "psuedo" log someone out in the shopping cart (for example, have the idel timer set an option in the session to relogin) so the cookie doesn't expire, it just goes into a "prompt" mode.
