1st post here. Happy to say my dive instructor sent me here. Our Scout Venture Crew is in the process of getting OW certified. Just trying to figure out what to buy.

What is the problem? I guess you can't figure out what to buy. The guys at ST will be glad to help you out.

Welcome to the board, GNX!... there's lots of equipment reviews throughout the forum, just use your search... then, if you're uncertain, DEFINITELY give the gang at ST a call... there is no brand bias and they'll give you some good advice, based on YOUR needs.... have fun!

Send a message via AIM to rox@ucf11
Try to find demo equipment at your LDS's to see what or if you like something because you dont want to have to re-buy gear,

Your instructor must not work for a LDS. Either that or you have one cool LDS that isn't worried about competition. Glad to have you here. Ask away and you will get more info than you ever wanted. Careful not to become an addict like the rest of us though. This place will draw you in.

Remember, you can try just about everything in the ST shop in their pool before you buy....and can probably rent everything to try in the open water as well!
