Citizen Aqualand

Is anyone familiar with the Aqualand series? In particular, the Cyber Nx, which is nitrox compatible! Recommended retail price $900, but there are places selling it at just over $500. Looks very cool to me.

A friend uses one and likes it quite a bit. It seems to be a nice piece of equipment. He uses it as a backup though, and still uses a regular console computer.

I own one. Two instructors I know own one; all of us use them.

Mine is a backup for my Atmos AI. Both give me the same info when compared.

Hey Jude, (No Pun Intended)

I use the previous Prodive 1010 as a back up depth and bottom timer along with the Atom 2.0.

I think as a back up they are a great buy but you should still look at the AI option.

Thanks for the tip! I bought an Atom 2.0 just yesterday And I'll be using an analog SPG for backup pressure. I haven't thought about backup timer and depth though....maybe just my Casio and buddy's depth gauge will do. Or I might look at the other cheaper Aqualands for backup, since I don't need the Nitrox function.

I'm looking at the Cyber NX for my sister, she'll be using rental reg + gauge, I thought it'll be a good idea to have her own wrist computer as well so she can get use to her own gear, good for traveling too.

Is it bulky to wear, for a girl?

Congatulations on the Atom 2.0, I know you'll love it. The Citizens are quite heavy but if you are only using it for dives and not as a main watch it should be fine. My wife had the standard Promaster Dive, but has ditched it for a baby G as it was too "Clunky" for her.

I got mine on e-bay for £120/ $240 US not the NX tho.

So can you get good prices on the Citizen Aqualands as a result? I've been drooling over one of them as a backup timer with depth functions, but haven't gotten around to pulling the trigger yet.

What about a Swatch Fun Scuba for depth & time backup?!



Here's a description of the watch:
The hour hand displays the depth down to a maximum of 40 meter. The minute hand shows the total dive time (up to 90 minutes). Information about your dive can be stored and viewed whenever you like. The Fun Scuba is water resistant to 200 meter. Once out of the water, the Fun Scuba automatically switches modes to display the time, just like any other watch.
