Crap. I think I lost my computer

I was rummaging through the gear getting ready for spring and noticed my Uwatec Prime was not in the console. Last year I had a problem with it and the LDS sent it in for repair ( no cost). I went diving before it was back and bought an Oceanic Veo from ST.
Now my youngest son is about to start diving and I will need all 3 computers but can't find the one that was repaired. I remember getting a call and picking it up at the LDS. But it apparently never made it back in the gear bag or the console.
If I have to buy another one, I guess I'll get another Veo from ST. God price on them right now.

Any other recommended inexpensive dive computers?

The Mares M2 is a grat deal and a good little computer. But if you have VEOs already, why not stick to them? Especially if you are going to be diving together...

The Oceanic Veo's are probably among the best in that category. Go for it.

And matching algorithms in a dive group are definitely the way to go.

I had 2 of the Uwatecs and added the Veo and it was always convienient that my son and I were on the same profile. So I guess it makes sense to just double up on the Veo's.
I noticed that the Veo was slightly less conservative than the uwatec. I'll probably let my oldest son use the uwatec (since his is the one we still have an d he knows how to use it) and by putting the less experienced kid with the same computer as me, I should have a good idea where his numbers are without checking on him all the time. (provided we dive a similar profile as I expect us to do)

Uwatec is slightly more conservative than Oceanic (one of the most liberal) and slightly less conservative than Suunto (which I don't care for).

Personally, I'd put the most at-risk diver (read: your youngest and least experienced) in the most conservative computer, and let the [better] diver who is more cognizant of his dive times have the more liberal computer. If you're always diving with your younger son, at least you know that if you have stayed together the whole dive, as long as he hasn't gone over on YOUR computer, he should be fine. Ideally, he'll be aware of his sufficiently to recognize when it's time to ascend, and then you can go up together, even if you have more NDL time left on your [more liberal] computer.

Give a look at Mares Puck.

A complete dive computer for a little price.
