Oceanic Wrist Computers

I really like the Idea of a watched sized air integrated computer. It just seems to me like the ultimate in streamlining. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on either the Oceanic Atom Wrist Computer, Computers: Nitrox, Oceanic, Oceanic Atom Wrist Computer or the Oceanic Atom 2.0 Computer, Computers: Nitrox, Oceanic, Oceanic Atom 2.0 Computer and what the difference between the two were other than $50. It is not really in the budget right this minute, but I'm about to graduate college so maybe if I get a big sign on bonus somewhere...well you never know. Thanks for any help.

I have the Atom and a VT3 they are both great wireless AI computers.
I don't have a Atom 2.0 but it is my understanding that the info displayed on the primary dive screen is different and the Atom 2.0 has the buddy monitoring feature like the VT3 whereas the Original Atom can monitor your buddy but it isn't as simple to do so.

I would just get a simple wrist computer, veo 250 or simuilar, and a simple fool proof pressure gauge. I have a veo180 and have been very happy with it. Sometimes simpler is better, more reliable.

I have a VT3 and a VT Pro, love them both. The VT3 allows me to monitor my wife's air (she's a noob). Gives me peace of mind.

I've got a VT3 with transmitter but usually just dive with my bottom timer. I like being able to watch my wife's pressure on my wrist though, so she has the transmitter and both computers are set on her pressure. We've both got back-up spg's too.

I enjoy my VT3, been my best purchase to date as far as I'm concerned.

Dont know the others that well - its been over a year since i was doing comparisons, but:
I LOVE MY ATOM 2 -
easy to use, reliable thus far, bells whistles - wears well as a watch. woohoo.

When I was looking at wireless AI wrist computers I remember reading about some significant (at least to me) differences that caused me to completely rule out the Atom 1. I can't remember off the top of my head, but I know there are comparisons out there, perhaps on the oceanic website.

Of course in the end I bought an Aeris Elite T3 since I already have a dive watch/bottom timer and think the larger screen on the Elite is more beneficial than being able to use it as a watch above water.
