Aeris Computer Interface Woes
Okay - So I'm not sure if this was the right spot to file this issue....
I just downloaded and installed the latest version of the Aeris Computer interface (PC dive log) from their web site. I won't get into the numerous issues I have with this software, but let's just say I felt I had nothing to loose trying their latest offering. I updated from V 2.1.0 to 2.1.8. Upon firing it up, I immediately noticed that all my information was displaying in metric - depth in meters, pressure in bar, etc. Checking the settings still indicates units in imperial. There is no way that I have found as yet to switch the way the software displays units. Before I just dump this version and re-load the old one - has anyone had the same issue and solve it? Any help would be greatly appreciate!

EDIT: interesting, I just reinstalled the same version and see your same problem. There is a drop down menu icon to change it to imperial though that I see. ![]()

Hi,
I use metric, so I appreciated the change (we had woes with some figures showing in imperial, even when we selected Metric!) However, try changing from Imperial to Metric and back again, and see if this makes a difference. I believe the problem isn't with your data, but moreso a calculated field or event within the application that's not triggering correctly. As for the software - have to agree. I wish Aeris would open up the interface code, or at least release an SDK so we could make better software for this unit! |

I noticed changing from screen to screen one time, it switched back and forth from metric to imperial... it's definitely not perfect software, but that was the only glitch I have seen myself... not sure how to fix, I just closed it and reopened it and everything was back to normal...

I can't say I saw that menu button, but on the other hand I was seeing red at the time and could have missed it. I had checked the settings tab, but that is more concerned with the settings of the dive computer than PC software settings. I'll look again... Thanks. D.
