Think I'm gonna like my GEO's...

Got them in the mail yesterday, and got to play with mine dry today... They are like super cool watches with a dive computer inside as well...

I ordered a downloader and two of the old style GEO's from ST on monday, and they are a kickass little computer... They are replacing my VEO180nx and Atmos 2...

Scubatoys hooked me up good on the downloader, and I got my standard 10% off on the computers, one blue, one yellow, for my wife and I...

They have standard watch mode, air or nitrox mode, free dive mode and gauge mode. Aside from free dive mode, the settings are almost identical to the VEO180nx...

The only downfall is that the screens are relatively small, but, I have good eyesight and it is awesome to have a computer as small as a large wristwatch... I also ordered the sports straps, which are velcro wrist bands - it appears these are perfect for putting on over a wetsuit. If you leave the standard wristband, they have a standard size band, and a band extender... Another cool thing they included was a screen protector similar to what you might buy for a cell phone. Easily replaceable and definitely better than scratching up the face...

The battery is also easier to replace than the VEO/Atmos's....

Congrats on the purchase! I am loving mine as well!

I like that it came with the "key" to open the battery cover. handy dandy!

I got one for Christmas and dove it in Cozumel in Jan. I really love it. Its my first computer and I have found it very easy to use (and I'm not a techy type person). I was worried about the face being small and hard to read under water, but this wasn't a problem at all. I have small wrists and like that its not too big.

that was my wifes complaint about the Veo I had originally gotten her... my option for her was to either put it in her console, or get her something smaller... then, when I started looking into them, they are quite affordable, and decided to get matching ones...

that is the exact reason I ordered one for my wife - she did not like the size of the VEO180 that I have.

Cool, I am looking for something to use as primarily a watch and secondly as a backup computer.

After not being able to dive my own rig (with Sherwood Wisdom) on one dive last week, and strictly dove on guages, I discovered the need to have a watch. It would also be nice if it did some computer functions too. So I can add this bad boy to the short list with a couple of the Citizen Aqualand's.
