Aeris Elite T3 Life time Dive # question

I own the Aeris Elite T3 dive computer and I really like it, but I have one little pet peeve. When I view the dive log on my pc, the "Life Time Dive #" reflects only the number of dives I've logged with this particular computer. Is there any way that I can change that to reflect the actual number of dives I've logged? I know that it's not that big of a deal, but it would definitely make it a little easier when I'm going back and forth between the log book on the PC and my paper diver's log book to update my dive info. I looked in the manual and I don't see a thing. If anyone could help I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I'm not sure... but I copied your post into the Oceanic specific thread as well. The rep for Aeris as well as some of my buds from their home office bop in there to see if there are any specific questions, so I'll also pm them and let them know about your question and see if we can get an answer for you.

If you're using the newer beta software then you can change it. If you're using the old software that come with it then no you can't.

I see this come up often in discussions about the
ACI/Oceanlog s/w and I feel so bad over it.
Back in late 2005 and early 2006. I was evaluating the
pre-release version of the 2.x s/w during the transition
from 1.x to 2.x software.

I gave tons of feedback to Oceanic on the new User i/f,
better integration of downloading and inputing of
new dives, and overall ease of use.

In the early versions you had to enter a LTD# for
each new download or manual entry. This allowed you
set the LTD # to whatever you wanted on each manual
dive and for each downloaded dive series.

While I could see why folks would want to start
their dives at something other than "1", I couldn't imagine
why folks would want discontinuous LTD #s.
(Obviously this was short sighted on my part)

So, one of the suggestions I gave was to eliminate the requirement
to enter the new starting LTD # when adding
new dives and simply sort and number them by dive date.

While this made the downloading and inputing of new
dives simpler, there was no longer a way change the LTD #.

Glad to see that there is now the capability to alter LTD #s
again for those that need it.

So I guess I just want to say I'm sorry for this loss of functionality
in the 2.x release due to my short sightedness.
You can blame me for this one.

I use the Aeris Atmos AI w/ACI software. I have used 3 different Aeris product (1 DC failure, 1 borrowed DC, and the one I have now). I was able to improt all of these dives into my one diver profile. Hence, all of my dives are logged in the same database. For the few dives that I did not use a DC, I entered the information manually. This has worked for me. On another note; there is a recent thread posted by a guy that has written his own custom software for Aeris/Oceanic products. I will try to find the thread and add it to this post. Good luck.

Try this. It is the dive log software that I referenced in my last post.
