As a bifocal wearer that wears contacts while diving, I MUST have a larger display on my computer to see that close. Thats why I have the Oceanic ProPlus2. Largest display available. Reading the compass is another concern.

For 5+ years I wore my Suunto Mosquito as my watch on all dive trips - so did my DH. Recently we both upgraded to the Oceanic Atom 2.0 and also wore that as a watch on the last dive trip. I like having the computer on my wrist when diving, and having it double as a watch is just an added bonus.
No problems seeing the display on either computer, and I wear monovision contacts. (One eye for reading, the other for distance.) I think the Atom display is even slightly larger than the Mosquito was.

I have a Atom 2.0 and while on vacations that include diving I wear it as a watch. When home or working I wear my dive watch a Casio G Shock. I'm much more comfortable with the idea of the watch failing than the dive computer and see no reason to allow the dive computer to endure daily abuse.

I wear my Citizen Cyber Aqualand NX as computer/watch when on dive trips. At home, it's only on when diving. I don't like the idea of it getting knocked around all the time. My wife was nice enough to buy me a Citizen EcoDrive for Christmas, so I wear that for normal everyday use.
