Well, here we go, I decided to go to Oceanics website for a comparison...

I'll list the discrepancies between the two:

Geo has Freedive, Veo250 does not
Geo has adjustable conservativity factor, Veo250 does not
Geo has digital watch functions (timer, stopwatch, etc), Veo250 does not
Geo has 512k memory, Veo250 has 256k
Veo250 has an on-unit dive simulator, Geo does not

the only other difference between the two is the size of the battery, and the form factor that they are available in, Geo obviously watch style, Veo250 as a huge wrist mount, or console/retractor mount...

So, essentially, the GEO is a better unit across the board than the Veo250, and the only reason I could see getting the Veo250 would be if I was dead set on console mounting it (which I hate)

What is an on-unit dive simulator?
Looking at the list, there is no way that veo250 can beat the geo hands down...
Thanks for the comprehensive list!

That is the ability to cycle through various depths to determine max time at those depths for a repetitive dive.
