Aeris XR 1 vs. Aeris XR 2?

Looking for a new computer....trying to figure out the main differences between the XR1 and XR2....???

The XR2 can do Nitrox as well as air, and is down loadable if you get the cable, and has back light and audible alarms.

Between the two, get the XR2. At some point there's a good possibility that you're going to start diving nitrox. Best to have a computer that will grow with you.

Larry beat me to it. Rumble also has a good point. If you ever think you may want to do Nitrox, and I think most folks do, bite the bullet and spend a couple more dollars on the XR2. You will be glad you did.

I bought the XR2, and am very happy with it. It's very easy to use as far as I'm concerned.

I probably will upgrade to an air-integrated eventually though.

The wife and kids used XR1 computers in Bonaire (with nitrox capability). They had couldn't download them to the laptop. I had an XR2 that would download. Makes a world of difference in seeing the dive profile. The computer let them make multi-level dives that the tables tilted on. Get an XR2 and enjoy it!

No, there is also an XR1 NX Aeris XR 1 NX Wrist Dive Computer reviews and discounts, Aeris

But most just go for the XR2, as the 1 button version is harder to program, and then you lose some of those other features.
