AI=Air Integrated.

UNLESS your name is Dave, and you're on board the Discovery en route to Jupiter.

Then your AI is named HAL..and it sings Daisy to you.

Never a stupid question around here ... sometimes I think they need to have a section on just explaining some of the dive lingo (it's almost as bad as bank lingo! )

AI computers

Air-Integrated

It constantly monitors your cylinder pressure and comparing it with YOUR air consumption rate and decompression status. This will show YOUR dive time remaining based on the most limiting factor.

AI computers can also be wireless. Wrist mount computers with transmitters, which give the same calculations, but without hose.

Well, occasionally there are stupid questions but this isn't one of them.

I agree that we should have a dictionary somewhere.. I just got a new car and I've been browsing the forums on it and it's full of acronyms I don't understand...

Just from browsing ST, it seems that the base runs right around 800 and up. Check this used Oceanic VT3 for under 600. (used 1 time) Hardly even qualifies as used.
