Suunto Gekko

Well I am a fairly new diver and still working on getting all my own equipment. I made the jump and bought myself a brand new Suunto Gekko. It says in the instructions that it is not pc-compatable but dive shops have special software that allows them to connect it to their computers. Is there a place i can get a copy of this software? and if so do i also need a special cable? thanks so much for your imput.

Search over on SB. You don't need the dive shop software, you just need to run a little script to trick the software into thinking it's a Vyper (at which point you can DL your profiles). I know, I did this my first year of diving. You will need to pick up a DL cable.

Wow, thanks DMWiz and CFDAlden for the links. I have a shiny new gekko, and I was just trying to decide how I would track my diving. Looks like I might get to go "hi-tech" afterall.
