Arrow Dive Rite Nitek computer reset, and now reads all metric!!!! Help

I just had to hard-reset the dive rite nitek computer I am borrowing, and seeing how it is probably who knows how old, there are no manuals to be found. I figured out how to set the time and date, but now it gives me temperature in Celsius, not really a big deal, but also depth in meters!!!! Help! I am in the middle of a dive vacation in Florida, and although I could manage with meters if I really had to, it would be SOO much easier to have feet!!!! Does anyone have any ideas on the proper buttons to use to adjust this? It has two green buttons on the bottom, "A" and "B", and two electrode/water sensors on the left, and one on the right. Should I wet some of the electrodes but not others? Push/hold which buttons? Wetting one electrode on the right and one on the left (either one on the left) puts it back in dive mode until the electrodes are dry, then into surface mode. I know how to set the nitrox mix, time, and date. I can get it into log mode (nothing there anymore sice reset!) and plan mode, where I can hold down both buttons to set my mix, but that is it.

Any thoughts, suggestions, hints would be helpful!

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!!!

It sounds like you have the Nitek 3 computer.... Here is a link to the whole manual, http://scubatoys.com/servicemanuals/nitek3.pdf but the way you would change is this:

To set for metric or Imperial operation:
1. Press and hold button A for ten seconds.
The profile sampling rate flashes.
2. Press buttons A and B simultaneously for ten seconds.
The “minutes” field flashes.
3. Press button A to go to the metric/Imperial field.
The “M or FT” field flashes.
4. Press button B to change to metric (M) or feet (FT) operation.
5. Press button A to return to surface mode.

Now you don't have to multiple by 3 all day long!

Larry - Thank you very much, but its not the Nitek 3. I think its the basic Nitek. This one has a yellow and black casing, (I don't know if they all come like that or not). I don't suppose you have a pdf manual for that model? I tried the sequence, but holding A down does nothing except put me back into surface mode. I'll keep trying.

Thanks for the link to the manuals, but this one is actually not there. The more I look into this, the older I think this computer is. Time to invest in my own. I did get ahold of someone back home who found the manual, and now it's back to imperial units (whew!). I am finding out that this computer is ultra conservative, too. Which is good and bad. Good for safety, but bad when I have to come up before other people. Thanks for your help! Even looking over the other manuals is interesting!

By the way, I will give the Nitek people a call on Monday, we didn't get of the boat in time to call yesterday while they were open. Thanks for the number!
